Ah, the challenges with this entire process: to get to the point where you are willing to admit what happened to you is an internal struggle, and to get help is where it becomes an external but private challenge. To publicly share it opens you up to a social element that opens the narrative even further to society and cultural criticism. At this point, you’re either brave or have stopped caring what other people think, or a combination of the two.
